part 5

The Reason for a One Billion Dollar Price Tag

There are other reasons why I’m not selling this book for less than $1 billion.

So I thought, “How do I get this vital information out?”

Then I got it. I’ll put a huge price tag on it!

Then only governments of the world can afford. Ok, ok, maybe Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan The United Arab Emirates Sheikh ( worth $ 23 billion), or Lawrence J. Ellison Oracle's Chief Executive Officer (worth $55 billion) can afford to buy the book.

“How can any book be worth $1 billion?”

A book is worth the information contained. There is no set rule. A romance novel is worth say, $10 to a woman, but to a man, maybe 50 cents.

The woman sees it as to the entrainment value and man as to what it will sell for at the local flea market.

A book that you believe will help you over come your allergy problem, for example, could be worth $100 to you, but to the next guy, nothing. The guy has no allergies sees the book of little value.

It is the perceived value that a person puts on something and what he/she is willing to give in exchange that determines value.

Another Way to Look at One Billion Dollars

If a nation of 100 million people buys The One Billion Dollar Book and each person benefits $1,000 personally by it (and that is a very conservative figure). Then cost would be only $10 per person.

If a nation of 100 million people busy The One Billion Dollar Book, the average cost per person would only be $10. The per capita cost is very low.

How many times have a nation taxed its citizens whereby the $1,000,000,000 brings a return of a few dollars to some people, and nothing to the majority. Or that the tax brings absolutely nothing to the people, but collectively they were still taxed $1,000,000,000.

Unfortunately, it happens all the time, in all the nations, to all the people of the world.

Some people just don’t see the worth of a product or service, by giving 10% and the value, even though they are guaranteed it’s worth 10 times that.

That is why there are always poor people in the world and always will be. And that there will always be poor nations in the world and wealthy ones.

“When an idea is first propounded, and it is greater than the people it is propounded to, it is usually scorn and rejected.”
